We welcome the application of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) for EU membership submitted today (15 February 2016) in the framework of the EU membership process.

Turkey supports fully the efforts of the B&H for EU membership and the activation of the NATO Membership Action Plan process exerted with the aim of integrating with Europe and Euro-Atlantic institutions.

Turkey will maintain this policy with the conviction that the membership to the EU will strengthen the political stability, economic development and social consensus in B&H.
