Mrs. Füsun Aramaz, born in Ankara in 1969, graduated from Yeşilköy 50th Year High School before earning a BA in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Boğaziçi University, followed by an MA in International Relations from Middle East Technical University.

She entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991, beginning her career as a Candidate Career Diplomat at the Directorate of Consular Affairs (1992). Her early overseas assignment was as Third Secretary at the Embassy in Almaty (1993), followed by a posting to the Directorate for Slavic Countries (1995). In 1997 she became Consul at the Consulate General in Antwerp. After serving as First Secretary at the Deputy Directorate General for Policy Planning (2001), she returned to Antwerp as Deputy Consul General in 2004. Three years later, she was appointed Head of Department at the Deputy Directorate General for the Council of Europe and Human Rights.

Aramaz was Consul General in Constanța between 2010 and 2013. She subsequently headed the department within the Deputy Directorate General for Security and Intelligence (2013) and, in 2014, assumed duties as Deputy Director General for Northern Europe and the Baltic States.

She represented Türkiye in Romania as Ambassador to Bucharest from 2019 to 2023, followed by her appointment as Ambassador and Member of the Inspection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from March 2023 to August 2025.

On 15 September 2025 she took up her current position as Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Manchester.

Fluent in English, Mrs Aramaz is married to retired Ambassador Mr İsmail Aramaz, and they have two children.
